Glow Sticks for 1p at Tesco...

Options
I put this in the misprices thread but thought it was worth it's own listing. In the party section at Tesco's the handheld Glowsticks (not the bracelet or necklace versions) are priced as normal (73p I think) but actually go through at 1p each. Brilliant for party bags, school discos, raves, bonfire night, etc.

Bought about 80 tonight and going back for more tomorrow!

Not sure, we usually use them for one night then throw them away. You can put them in the freezer to last longer apparently but never tried it.

Actually, I had glow sticks last week and this isnt a myth at all, as long as you freeze them while they are still glowing they can be reactivated by running them under hot water. Freezing them stops the chemical reaction taking place any further.

I tried it, and it deffinitely works!

Say for example one glow stick lasts 8 hours you could crack it then freeze ir after an hour then when you take it out of the freezer you will still have roughly 7 hours of light left.
