    Quite possibly.

Even the very worst operators must get it right occasionally and I'm sure out of Asda's millions of customers there must be a couple of thousand who get good service. ;)

Yeah, and cheating scumbags doubtless cheat and act scummy because the want to make easy money.

Just because there's a reason for something doesn't make it acceptable. rolleyes.gif

I no longer use online deliveries from any supermarket. The three I have tried just cannot get the order right. I am frequently getting items missed off. It is impossible to check every single thing as it comes to the door. I have, each and every time with all three companies received my missing items and have never requested a refund.

I wouldn't expect a refund but I would like my items. Did you at any time ask for the items or just your money back?

i never said it was acceptable did i, its not teh drivers fault if they're on a tight schedule, i know a competitor doesnt allow they're drivers much time to stay with each customer

Yes, I feel sorry for the drivers as they are caught in the middle between customer expectations and the managements desire to provide the service as cheaply as possible.

I said I was quite happy to have the items redelivered - to be honest that would be preferable! (Though I don't think I could trust them to get it right).

However it was the driver that said to me he didn't have those items in his van, and that he would sort out a /refund/.

When I rang a week later because I hadn't heard anything about a refund or a redelivery, I was told that it would have to be a refund, but now they are refusing to.

I really would not be ringing Asda for hours every day to cheat them out of £25.65, I could have earned a lot more in the time spent trying to sort this out than £25.65.

Again, as I've already said when they deliver all the items and do their job efficiently Asda are great and provide good value. But when there is a problem they are obstructive and it takes ages to sort anything out. Yes I am basing this on my last two orders out of over a year's worth of orders, but these are the only times I have had an issue with a delivery, and both times their customer service has been awful., and the first time it took hours of ringing to get my money refunded (they said they could not do a redelivery), and this time they are refusing to do anything, although head office is apparently sorting this out...

However I have also observed my flat mate having an order and they never turned up and she had to ring them for hours and hours to hear what was going on. As well as my sister who will have had her order managed by a different Asda - on several occasions they never turned up and charged her for her order despite the fact she had not had the delivery and were quite obstructive in organizing a redeliery or refund (several times).

More fool me for continuing to use Asda, because I had always received good service from them up to that point. Browsing online forums I find that a lot of other people have received a similar poor quality service.

I posted this in what I thought was somewhere to warn other people about poor-quality service they may receive. All I'm saying is that if you have a problem with an Asda delivery, it's most likely going to take forever to sort it out. That is all.

The usual problem of expecting drivers to provide a Harrods service for a Primark price.
