Gas and Electricity Rip Off

I currently work for one of the companies that sells for one of the larger German energy companies. This company has recently finally fired two of their worst culprits for blagging (Lying to customers about price, not mentioning standing charges, selling to empty houses, signing customers up when they say no).
These members of staff (Among others who still work here) have received numerous incentives (£500 top seller bonus, tickets to concerts and football matches) as well as £1000's in commission on top of their wages.
All of the other staff that work here are set impossible targets as the targets set by the forerunners (Who blag) are what is expected from the rest.
All honest sales people have been sacked or are on development programs or disciplinaries for not achieving the same as those leading (Blagging).
The blaggers have been brought too the managers attention on numerous occasions by members of staff in the past yet have remained in the company until now because their commission lines the managers pockets. Still many members of staff remain who are blagging and ripping off the general public.

This needs to stop. Do not take energy sales calls. If you are looking for a reduction in price and are online now go for one of Scottish Power or Npower's online deals. The other utility companies cannot beat these. They may tell you so on the phone but do not believe it. If you find it hard to say no on the phone tell them you just signed up to Npower or Scottish power online. That will be the end of it. Be careful on the internet where you post your number or address as they get their info from here and make out that you asked for the call.

Npower is german so I take it you work for E.on then ?.

BG and E.ON have the cheapest tariff for me at the moment Scottish Power are 6th and Npower 5th so your statement is very unaccurate and misleading. So whos the daddy ?

"Inaccurate" not "unaccurate" Gerrard, and my post wasn't written to annoy people, advertise for companies or do anything other than to point out what is going on behind the scenes. I'm pleased you have a great tariff, tell others about it and have a good day! You can be daddy if you want to be.

When you ring Ebico you are actually ringing Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) !! Ebico tariffs are supplied and administered by SSE.

I find it hard getting much info as you are an ant in between two rocks!

The Ebico tariffs do suit many low users as straight forward pricing, no structured pricing or daily standing charges.

Ebico is SSE (At least on prepayment) and it works out well without daily standing charges, as does Eons gas. Good combination if you don't like BG.

I have Eon Gas and Ebico Electric pre pay. If I was on DD I would go for Scottish power online personally.

Prices vary by region so it's not the best statement to say that Scottish Power or Npower have the cheapest deals - it may be cheapest in your area, but not necessarily everyone's.

But working for an energy company, you should know that, right?

hi fully aware who ebico are in England they are admistered by sse and in Scotland its scottish hydro who have a seperated customer service for them and what i was trying to say is we dont get fobed off with phone calls to upgrade ect and we when we call we get a human being that knows what they are talking about thats why we like them we were with scottish gas before and they were a nighmare sent wrong bills even after they had been to read the meter then we switched to scottish power again every time you wished to call them it was press one press two and then oh sorry need to transfer you ect ect . where we find one call to ebico customer service seems to go well they seem to know the answers of of questions ect and with no standard charge if we dont use gas then there is no bill to pay like last summer a full bill of £56 for half the year loved it :Twould have been three times that with scottish power lol:(

Bit harsh considering we have a brand new poster telling everyone who the cheapest suppliers are without taking the vital details to do an accurate calculation.

    * I just noticed you would like people to click thanks if you find your posts useful.. I think you will excuse me if I don't bother on this occasion. :D
