what will remove vinyl silk emulsion paint?

    For this time, hot water. Even if it has been on for a long time, several applications, plus gentle assistance from a nylon scourer will shift it.

    Next time, have a very damp but not sopping wet rag and a square edged scraper. Wipe errors as you go. Use the scraper to back a section of rag to get a clean edge.

    And for gloss painting, have a rag with some white spirit on it, but not as saturated as your rag for emulsion.

    it'll remove the paint back to bare wood if you leave it long enough. :eek::eek:
