Orange mobile data Usage !!!! Help needed
After purchasing a Htc hero on Orange through Excel communications last June i thought i was getting a good deal ..
1500 minutes .2000 text, unlimited internet, free insurance
The deal was £75 per month £50 cash back for 12 months and a review of a similar deal for the 12months after Bargain ! until excel went bump .. Everything from them was passed on to midlands communications which after missing 4 payments £200!! they took the deal on from january.
The issue I have now is my last 2 orange bills have gone over in my data allowance (although i was supposed to be unlimited I was told it was 500mb.... my fault i lost my contract and never checked my bills). my first bill went over 77mb and i was being charged £198 exc VAT , my second bill 49mb over and 126.00 exc vat.
My nephew experianced a similar problem however he went over 113mb and got changed £90 exc VAT ??
are the data charges different dependant on what service plan you are on with orange ? surely the data charges would be consistant for all Orange plans if you exceed your allowance?
Please Help

Orange becomes the most notorious mis-seller of so called 'ulimited' internet.
Before April 2011 their 'unlimited' internet had 750Mb limit under the FUP.
Now they formally don't have any 'unlimited' packages, but keep selling them.
If you can make any sense of it: Pay monthly Animal Packages Terms and Conditions - April 2011
I don't see how they can charge more than £31 per month for going over your limit in UK.Mobile internet - A daily flat rate of £1.00 per day applies for out of bundle data usage. This is subject to a daily fair usage allowance of 25MB, and a monthly download limit of 500MB. 25MB provides enough data for normal levels of email usage and browsing. However, for customers who are planning to download and stream data we would recommend that you take up one of our 500MB or 1GB data bundles. Please note, should you regularly exceed the 25MB daily fair usage allowance and as a result, you reach your 500MB limit before the end of the monthly period, [notice may be given and] network protection controls may be applied to your service. This may result in a reduced speed of transmission See Mobile Internet terms for details of prohibited activities. Other terms apply, see www.orange.co.uk/terms.
For the last year version see: http://www1.orange.co.uk/service_plans/paymonthly/termsMarch2010.htmlMobile Internet - up to 500MB anytime mobile internet browsing. Usage above 500MB will be charged at the rates set out in the Price Guide - see orange.co.uk/paymonthlyguide.As of the 1st March 2010, we introduced a daily flat rate of 61.3p per day in
replacement of the daily cap (see table below). This will apply automatically to new customers from 31 March 2010 for out of bundle data usage.0 -
