Has anyone tried returntoearn.co.uk they pay 60p a kilo? (If you get it that is!).0

I recently sent a sack which I estimated was well over 30kg I had to drag it to the door. They said it weighed 17kg and they say city link weighed it at 14kg. Even the driver had a job to lift it. Dont use them take it somewhere who weigh it in front of you.0

Hello,
I work for a company called cash for clothes (not the one referred to above). We do not offer a collection service however we have many stores around the UK. You can bring your clothing into one of our branches and we will weigh it in front of you and pay you cash there and then. You also get a receipt.
We do not offer a returns service as our clothing is collected weekly so be sure that you are happy to part with what you are selling before you bring it.
Your clothing does not have to be in any particular bags as we will transfer it for you in store. We pay 55p for each Kg.
There are a lot of rogue traders around at the minute and people pretending to be charities etc so you do have to be careful with who you sell your clothes to. NEVER part with your clothing before you are payed in full.
Here is a link you our website so you can see if there is a branch near you:
cashforclothes.uk.com
Hope you manage to get your clothing back.

Decided to clear out my wee boys room of old clothes, as well as some of our own, and also toys to make room for the arrival of our new baby. Must have taken 3 car tracks (hot wheels), a toy story play set (battery operated), a jigsaw puzzle or even 2 and a matchbox building set which hadn't been used and was brand new, and a couple of remote control cars to cash 4 clothes. Now the value of this stuff was in the region of £100 brand new as some of the tracks were around £30 or £40 when we got them for xmas and all of the stuff was still in good condition. I busted both my arms carrying the stuff there, they weighed it and ot came to 9.1kg although the guy wrote down in his book 9.2kg. I got a measly total of £1.80! If i hadn't been in a hurry to get away i would have takn it back home or even challenged the guy on why it was so little. A waste of time if you ask me. If you have stuff to get rid of then take it to a charity shop or even sell it on gumtree, facebay or ebay if you need cash. Was expecting a lot more than a pathetic £1.80, i can find that sort of money walking down the street.

I have tons of clothes, it's nice idea to exchange them for cash, thank you!0

I rather give the clothes to charity shops. They will receive more £ per kg than these places0

PLEASE do not use clothes for cash! You are much better off selling your clothes on ebay.
I filled a whole sack with what was mostly NEW clothes. I received £7.80! They claim that the bag weighted HALF of what it really did (I know because I weighed it myself before they picked it up. Clothesforcash says that they weigh independently but yet they do not provide you a receipt of that nor does the \"independent\" third party picking your bag up. They claimed it contained 1 kg of unacceptable clothes which is just not true as most of them in fact were new and the rest were second hand but in good condition (I would not send anything that was torn, dirty or in anyway unacceptable). They did not even have the decency to state what clothes were unacceptable (because they made it up I guess).
Anyone saying differently most be working for the company! Please be careful and do your research for example read on MOneySavingEXpert0 -
Has anyone had any luck with other similar clothes companies? I'm specifically looking for online or those in the Birmingham area.
I've had a big sort out and have lots of clothes neither of us wear anymore but are in a good condition. I was thinking about sending/taking it all to one of these companies but if it's not really worth it will just take it to one of the local charity shops.
Thanks0 -
