tax credits renewals

Help !!!! I have just chased up my renewal for tax credits i renewed last friday 13th and today have been told its been part captured has anyone else been told this and what does it mean ? I have 4 kids and this time of year is a worry when renewing. I'm hoping it means the final stages of renewing here's hoping anyway !!

I renewed mine on saturday, so a day after you. I called today as was worried, as nothing has happened yet. The man just said I would be told when the renewal has gone through and when I asked if it had gone through he just repeated the same sentence. I couldnt get ANYTHING else out of him, not sure if he even checked!

Im also a bit concerened as I know people have renewed similar time to me have already had thiers sorted out. What does part captured mean? Maybe thats whats happening with mine, if you find out - be sure to post!!

heres hoping - im dying for this to all be sorted out! I have three kids, one of which is ten weeks old and I fully rely on my payments.

hi, thought i would let you know i renewed on the 13th may. thursday 19th may there was a small payment went into my account and then today a provisional notice came with the amounts which are due to start tues 24th may. anyway i noticed they were still using an estimated income for last years tax year so i've just rang and the man said don't worry theres another award on its way with the correct figures and the provisional one was sent out before i'd renewed. so i will wait and see what happens next week. i've been worrying aswell because nothing ever goes right! so hopefully you both will here something soon, i would think yours are being processed. hope this helps, a little bit anyway!

I renewed on the 5th on the phone, had a provisional come on the 13th as I had changes this year, I am still waiting on the finalisation.

My sister renewed and informed them of her increase in salary so now entitled to nothing, she has had a provisional of £0.00, but no finalisation.

No - it often doesnt go right, its horrible, waiting for something to go wrong!!

I had my provisional payments a couple of weeks ago...so I guess Im waiting for the real mcCoy now! I just like to plan, and I dont like not knowing...especially as I have direct debits set up - if my payments change and they fail, i could be in for a few charges too! I dont know how anyone manages quite honsetly.

Perhaps instead of chasing you are better to wait a week or two, give them a reasonable time to do the 'behind the scenes' calculations etc. I would not normally expect new figures straight away, remember how many folk are renewing.
We are waiting for DH's p60, but once we renew I normally phone about a week later (our paperwork seems to go via everywhere before we get it!).

Hi, just after a bit of advice. I understand that people who earn a joint income of over £40,000 will have their tax credits stopped. I fall into this category for the first time ever, when I've added both my hubby's and my P60 figures together (by £2,500).

I have however, had a payment into my back in April and May and haven't had a renewal pack through as yet. I don't really feel it's fair that I should have to ring them on an 0845 number and pay for the call to be more than likely told that I will have to pay the two payments back. Like everyone else, money is extremely tight and our wages just cover the bills and the food/petrol money. We both work full time, working opposite shift patterns for childcare purposes and we are worse off for it. I do feel that people are being penalised for working hard and trying to stay out of debt. Sorry, that's todays whinge over with.

Has anyone else gone over the 40k threshold but still received payments?

I renewed 5th May received extra payment week later. Then received provisional award for this year. I called up as my income was wromg. The woman said award was sent out before renewal strange as dated after I called and childcare amended as per renewal. Anyway the woman told me renewal not processed yet and changed my income on renewal and this years. So at least all now correct as it can be. But still waiting for Finalised for last year. was told not to call back until after 16th June has anybody else been told this and why.
