It is easy to take a picture of a full bottle going into a package, then swop it for the empty one. Simple and easy con. Everything I sell over £25 is UV pen marked and I tell the customer that it has been security marked with a UV pen. Guess what? Since doing this I have not had a customer try to diddle me.
There are many people out there on ebay who are just lies, scammers and just plain nasty, and these are buyers not sellers. yes there is a few on ebay still but from reading quite a few threads on ebay, they seem to be sorting them out. It is a pity that in ebays eyes the buyer is always right. Even when he is a lying cheating scumbag.
You can get UV pens free from the police are dead cheap at Tesco's etc.
As my old boss used to say ' this job would be great without the customers'.
Lifes a !!!!! and then you marry one:D

is perfume covered by recorded post. Im just wondering if you'd have comeback by saying the buyer sent it back yes, but by an unsuitable uninsured method and the aftershave must have leaked out

An interesting point - and hopefully someone will verify! :D

I Had to send it special delivery as it was expensive and was told that only S/D covers glass in transit

Now waiting patiently for someone more experienced to let me know! :o

found this on another thread - Apparently special delivery insurance doesn't cover glass, ceramics and crystal etc.https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2110469

All that'll prove is you swopped the one in the picture for the dodgy unmarked one they received, then they sent it back.

"Compensation for loss or damage will not be paid if parcels are strapped together or bound to another parcel."

    Hadn't noticed that one before.

So if you tape two packages together, and post as one (combined postage to one buyer for instance), they're not covered.
So even two identical boxes, both well wrapped, a bit more tape around them both and you've had it.

Not sure if this is relevant as parcelforce guidelines are different to 'normal' post and S/D
