Smelly Shoes from Ebay

Just bought some 2nd had shoes from ebay and they smell quite strongly of feet - other than that, they're as described, exactly what I wanted, and delivered when expected.
As it's the kind of risk you take when buying 2nd hand shoes, I'll probably just get some odour eaters or something, leave a positive and mark it down to experience. But I'd be really interested to hear what everyone else thinks!

They hadn't been listed in such a way to attract the foot fetish people had they?0

thats just what i was going to say. did it say anywhere in the listing or title "well worn"/ "washed to ebays standards"? this usually means they wont be washed for people with foot fetishes[STRIKE]0.5 st[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]1st[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]1.5st [/STRIKE] [STRIKE]2st[/STRIKE] 2.5st 3st 3.5st 4st 4.5st 5st :j0

:rotfl:not at all - just xxxxx brand shoes in fantastic condition. Look new. Hardly worn.0

If you relist them as well worn with odour you'll probably get more than you paid for them, from the fetish brigade0

When you suggest odour eaters as a solution..you're not actually going the wear them are you. They're stinky !! Don't do it. Noooooo!
Maybe try sealing them in a bag with Baking soda stuff like for fridges, that's supposed to work, saw it on an American 'thrift' show once (see it WAS worth staying up 'til 3am...)
If it was me I'd just sling them.0 -
nah, the planet is doomed if you just throw things away because of a smell of feet
I'd agree with your course of action, but i'd probably mention to the seller as they may not know that they have smellyfeetitis and may think twice next time before putting a description, or selling their second hand shoes0 -
I've been wanting a pair of these shoes for ages - they're an obscure brand in an unusual size, they hardly ever come up 2nd hand, and they're really expensive to buy new. I'm at least going to TRY odour eaters (or bicarb - thanks for that idea alfiesmum) before writing them off!
Failing that, I might have to try selling them on to the fetishists
Thanks for your comments people!0 -
Ew that's horrible - my worst nightmare! Hope you manage to get the smell out!0

Somebody elses sweaty horrible hairy feet, possibly with athletes foot, corns, bunions, have been in them.
