Ah, sorry, better than you think.... No, sorry, I should have been clearer. They credited the interest back to the accounts and re-calculated interest (so nothing lost) AND gave the two cheques.. Sorry about that.Ah! Not as good as you think. They should have transferred the money to the new ISAs, not given you cheques. You have now lost the tax advantage in the interest.

So long as you have not lost your tax allowance for previous tax years, and you can still contribute the full amount this tax year, it's a good result0
