You should get them printed, DVD's die with age, and there are ways round this but a hard copy has a permanence that trillions of 0's and 1's don't.

If you want a higher quality product, and therefore price but do the layout yourself, their software is not really easy to use, but not impossible.

They might be the company your photographer would have used.

If you wanted just a cheap photo album then there was a thread on here about Argos photobooks for free (just pay postage £3.99) https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3207226

    Hi all,

We got married at the end of March last year and are currently debating what to do with our wedding images.

We got a professional photographer to take the images on the day and have since bought all the images on a DVD so we could print off, send around etc. This dvd was £400. My husband is really keen on also getting a proper album with our images displayed in - these albums are upwards of £500 though. I'm not so bothered as we've already got the images anyway and I just know that if we get a book it'll never get looked at. I'd much rather put that money towards our honeymoon in October.

What do you think? I know it's nice to have a physical book and all, but I just dont think it's worth the money!.......

What kind of images are they on the DVD (JPEG, TIFF, RAW), and what is the approximate file size for each image?
The quality of the digital image (Whether it has been resized, usually smaller), will determine the final print quality. This is not much of a problem if the prints are going to be less than 6 X 4, but will show up digital noise and imperfections at A4 size.
  • They are JPEG's, and are all about 4mb each....

I used the Kodak website to make my books (we had a friend do our photos - so no rights to worry about), really, really please with them :D

£100 ish for 4 books with 25 pages in each - I chose all the photos and the layouts and the sizing. Found the site easy to use and very quick delivery too!

A+ in my book (ha ha!) and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

Why not buy a decent digital photo frame - you'll look at them more often, and can update them if/when there are any additions to the family - whether they be ones with 4 or two legs;)

We have one of those. To be honest, it very rarely gets turned on.

We got our own photo albums made up. It cost a lot less than £400. We did a big one for us and some smaller ones for family.
