"Thread closed due to resource issues"

What a terrific path to do down.

A nice, handy 'one size fits all' attitude to closing threads. No actual reasons given any more. No courteous explanation that the closure is due to abusive posts, forbidden topics, libellous statements, unfounded allegations or anything like that. Just close them now and say 'due to resource issues'.

Its not only threads that get closed due to resource issues Outpost.

People actually get banned because of resource issues, but this happens on most large forums (not just this one)

You see, moderators and admin dont really have the time to become judge and jury and go through pages and pages of posts to decide who is really at fault when it comes to banning people. If the abuse team get enough abuse reports directed at a certain poster then they will just ban that poster.

The bully cliques know this, and they know if they all keep reporting a certain persons posts for long enough then that poster will eventually get banned because admin will get sick of removing this persons posts because they dont have the time basically, and also because admin would rather ban a newish poster than half a dozen long serving members.

Theres half a dozen long serving members keep reporting my posts (one of them must be onto his 30th account at least) and I know which ones they are because my posts always get removed whenever I post in certain persons threads, and its actually these same people who keep trying to bait me.

I know eventually they will get me banned, as Ive had 2 warnings so I'm on borrowed time so to speak, but at the end of the day my posts arent really any worse than any of theirs.
I may be cheap but I am not free////////////////////
