UK Online took £210 from my account without my consent!

Basically UK Online have made a complete balls up of my house move and have ended up taking £210 (almost a weeks wages) out of my account without my consent as their staff and/or computer system opened up two new accounts for me and ordered me two routers without even asking me. This has now sent my bank account overdrawn and also left me out of pocket in the run up to Xmas. For a refund I have to wait seven days for a cheque!

Firstly - What's the best way of proceeding with a complaint. I've seen people say address your complaint to the boss of the company - how do I find out who is the boss of UK Online?

Secondly - Is there any body such as OfCom that deals with Internet and would it be worth contacting them? And is there anything else I should do.

I would urge people not to use this company - Their broadband is fast but customer service is terrible.

Cheers

Bergeroo

If they truly have removed funds from your account without authorisation then that is theft.

You need to contact the Police?

Just a thought - were the payments Direct Debit or Card based - if they were direct debits then you can get the funds back immediately under the terms of the DD gaurantee.
