Just watched BBC1 Watchdog
Pure shocker!
Apparently if front passenger stretches out and press onto front passenger footwell they can affect the brakes due to a technical fault in the cars being changed from lefthand drive to right.

It doesn't even seem to take a hard press to activate the brakes. Par for the course for French kwality. The man without a signature.0

My Clio has the bonnet catch on the passenger side because it's French, its very confusing sometimes!0

It does seem pretty severe safety/quality control issue that these cars were allowed out of the factory and onto the roads with such a major flaw.
Although if I owned a driving school I'd snap a few of these things up now rather than shelling out money on expensive dual-control modifications.

Simple answer. Make sure your passenger is either a dwarf or an amputee.'The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'

I suppose it's handy for driving instructors who want dual controls but don't want the expense of installing them.0

This wouldn't be a problem if we were all as short as Nicholas Sarkozy.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

And British Quality is so fantastic eh?;)
We don't really have any homegrown manufacturers any more.
Nissan/Honda are present and quality is good.
Jaguar/Land Rover are owned by Tata - poor reliability
Ford & GM - American
Bentley/Rolls - German
But seriously I'd rather have a Ford/GM car any day over something French. French cars are good - up to the 3 year warranty point. On the Motoring Forum when someone posts a problem and you click on the thread it's often something French causing angst. The man without a signature.0 -

I wouldn't even go that far.... a huge list of faults after just a few months.0
