On Moneybox Radio 4 the spokesperson from NS&I implied that you could apply for the bond but also add to it at a later date. However I have not seen this on their website- anybody got any info on this?

You can buy them in lot's of £100 but you need the customer number from the first one before you can buy the rest upto a max of £15000Keep the Faith:cool:0

You can't add to a bond but you can buy separate bonds (minimum £100 each) up to the maximum holding of £15,000.0

I bought some last week, and then today some cash I had realised came through, so I bought some more, taking the total up to the £15,000 max.
I filled in the reference number from the first transaction, but it ignored that and just gave me a new bond with its own number.
I don't think they literally mean "adding to" a bond, I think it means having separate bonds for each purchase. It would be difficult to work out the index linking if each bond had a mixture of different investment dates, and possibly part-withdrawals too.0
