AGAIN got to till and wouldn't go through as a meal deal-came up full price. A cs came to help out and she again tried putting through, as I said was definately in deal! Was told that although online is not part of meal deal in store-CAN ONLY BUY MEAL DEAL THEY SHOW AT END OF AISLE!!! I just said I wasn't happy and could have saved myself fuel cost coming in to buy and would order online!!! Can anyone advise me where I can buy a meal deal in Norfolk please???????:idea::idea::idea::idea::idea:
I bought the same deal (exact same combination) yesterday, and it went through fine. shame there appears to be no consistency (but that often works in our favour also)0 -

Just check you are getting the right size items, I noticed there are a couple of different sizes of lasagne etc. That could be what is doing it.Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together.0 -

I have found out in my local store is that only meals in the "Meal Deal section" are actually in the meal deal offer( at the end of the aisle).
For instance I wrote down what I wanted ie plain chicken kievs and mash and tartes.. But the Kievs were not placed within the Section for meal deals just in the "Finest aisle range" I asked if I could take items from a different area of the Finest range aisle and include them as I mention it was advertised online as in the offer. She stated that it was a store specific what was in the Offer at the end of the aisle and could be different from store to store, But she said "NO" for me to include them in the offer..
Also the Turners Rd was in the wine aisle also both Merlot and Chardonnay.0 -
Bought 2 x meal deals this morning, one with merlot and one with chardonnay.
Both were the chicken, cheddar and ham (tastes great! Just had one), cheddar mash and choc chip puds (beautiful).
Am REALLY pleased as it made a great meal, will definitely be buying more. OH had the lemon pepper pastry and lemon tart that was bought on Friday, he said that was nice too. Am now waiting for 3 vouchers (Fri,Sat,today). Hope this works out OK, the vocuhers will be used to buy more hopefully! Thanks to OP and anyone else (Legendmum?) who posted thisPlease God, help me stop spending!0 -
All of the rest of the meal deal was in the right place, in the meal deal section and I had written down exactly items details/weight as on the internet (all those that showed with the yellow special offer). Was told it was the Turners road that was stopping the rest of the items coming up on the deal. They said I had to buy marques de carano reserva or ogio wine! Obviously I would have missed out on the claiming the coupon back! Just my luck!!0

But the kievs are not part of the current meal deal.
Don't know how to post piccies, but I think this is where the confusion is lying.....
This is part of the current meal deal....

but this isn't..

I think some people are confusing the 2 & referring to the chicken & ham as kievs, which is what may be causing the problem.
If something in the deal is missing from the shelf, you can still use the same item from the finest section as they should still go through. After all, that is where they stock the meal deal section from anyway. If in doubt, just double check using the bar codes from the sel.
Edit: Forgot to mention, the Turner's seems to be in the wine aisle for everyone. I collect my wine from the wine aisle first (just in case they are oos) & if it's there, I then go & collect my food.
Sorry about iluvabargain's problem. I'm totally confused. It seems as though that store isn't linked to Tesco's main frame computer system, but for the life of me I can't understand why. It must be musn't it? Otherwise the pricing & deals would be all over the place.0 -

She's talking through her derrière. A call to Tesco HQ in the morning is due. Advertising a product, which they say is store specific, which blatantly isn't. Are you sure you are picking up the size items as per website?Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -

Yes when you go online and say look at the main items on the deal: of the 11 showing, only 7 actually shown with the yellow special offer mark are those that are actually on the deal. Very confusing-probably meant to be!!!!0

Well you are doing everything right. For those who believe it is a regional issue (I don't) then you would not be able to see them when logged into your account. So quite blatantly it isn't. So if you are 100% sure, I'd ring HQ tomorrow and get a free voucher for all your troubles or ask for free delivery, and tell them to get their !!!!! into gear.Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0
