Yes you can. It's what is known as recycling the vouchers. Not as good as in the DtD days though :rotfl:

Oh those days. Memories. Can only be compared to my first date to Mrs Stebiz;):rotfl:

"got 2 vouchers from yesterdays shop.

1st for £6 ish which was good but included rest of my shopping so that brought the vouher price down.

    oh well live and learn."

I wonder if someone could explain this please. What happens if i enter my receipt details with all my other shopping on it as well as the meal deals? Why does this bring the value of the voucher down? sorry if i'm missing something here.....I bought 2 meal deals today with the Turners wine but had all my other shopping as well on the same receipt, i dont get how this will affect things?

Thankyou to the op for this great post!

    Hi
It's because you are given the difference for the total shop. They compare everything they can on the receipt where Asda stock the same item.

For example, if you buy one meal deal with Turners, you will receive £5.93 back because Turners is £9.99 in Tesco & £4.06 in Asda, & the price checker isn't recognising the fact that the wine was bought as part of the meal deal.

However, if you put other goods in your basket & they are cheaper than at Asda, then this will chip away at your £5.93

I'm not running off to the websites to check..I am just making this up to show you what I mean, but say you also bought a chicken which was £3 in Tesco but £6 in Asda, then your total difference will now only be £2.93 not the £5.93 for the meal deal alone.

    Does this make sense?

Just try to keep you meal deal receipts separate, or only include items which are cheaper at Asda.

For example, I bought 2 meals today so expect a voucher back for £11.86 which will give me one free meal deal and a voucher back for £5.93.

I'm looking to make up my future £5.93 voucher to £10 to cover another meal deal though, so will probably also include a Dr. O's pizza, & maybe a few muller yoghurts. I'm just on a hunt now to see what else I can buy, any suggestions welcome.:)

I wish Tesco used free-range eggs in their desserts :(

I suppose I would have to get the cheese.

Thanks OP for posting this, got my voucher and had a nice meal today.

The Chicken with asparagus is very good and the rosemary potatoes went well with it. (Had to move the chicken to another oven as the potatoes really need more heat to cook best upto 230c, and flipping a few times)

Both came out great, and the Tarte Au Citron is good.

    Very pleased.

Hek, i wasn't going to go for this as finaly used last DTD voucher & getting back to normal shopping & back on Diet! I've put nearly a stone on in last 3 mths with all the free food & wine, but such a good deal, going to have to look for the fatter free meals!! I also feel that even for £10 these meal deals are good shock horrorrr! the chicken kiev dosn't seem to be regurgitated chicken which is great apart from all the buttter they put inside, any ideas of a healthy option?

We buy the meal deals but we find one of the chicken kievs is big enough for two people. They are so rich. My OH has two thirds and I have the other third. We buy the rosemary potatoes and I either make a salad or some frozen vegetables to go with it and it is big enough for the two of us.
