Just seen and commented on your thread about this on HUKD. Cant believe its not red hot. About a week ago i posted a thread on there for cheese which is nearly at 1000 degrees. This in my opinion should be a lot hotter, especially when you can get cheese included in this deal. Dont understand some voters, but then again leaves more for us on this site.

Makes you laugh, I was trying to give a little something back for the great deals I have had over the years at HDUK

Little niggle inside said don't do it as Mr T will cancel the deal a bit sooner but I thought whatdahell, give a few peeps a nice deal over at HDUK you silly beggar! :D

Now they cold voted it, they'll never know.

Same as they simply didn't get DTD :beer::beer::beer::beer:

PS what's that stuff about benefit cheats all about? :(

    Hi all,

Ive just read this thread about the meal deal and thought i would try it....

Got to the shop and went to the tesco finest aisle....

Items that i got that worked were:
    Deal 1......
    Turners chard x1 @9.99ea
chicken and ham kievs x1 @5.50
    green veg medleyx1 @ 2.50
    cheese selectionx1

    Cost £10.00

    Deal 2.....
    Turners chard x1 @9.99ea
    strawberry cheesecake

Items that i tried that didnt work....were
cooked beef in tomato and wine sauce @£5.50 (main)
    baked potatoes (side dish) @3.25

So basically the items that were not included bulked up my shopping costing over £11 extra.

i took it to CS and she took back the items that werent part of it and said i could substitute for another main and side...
I got abdn beef meatballs and rosemary coated potatoes.

But as i got the two meal deals as part of the same receipt she refunded all the items and did them as a new transaction and refunded me my £11 odds.

So now im left confused as to which receipt to input on the price checker?

Also I got my first 1p finds of the choc kitty eggs and the girl on CS never even mentioned this.....

there were lots left on strips in my store. Thanks to the 1p ers :)

And snowballs drinks were reduced in my store to 99p....dunno if this is nationwide...may sell by.

Tesco finest chocs also reduced to 1.00 as may sell by.

    Hope helps someone...

input both if you have them!!! you might get a voucher for each ;)
but I'm not sure if the 1p deal won't reduce it...

Would still be a bargain at £10 meal deal, the wine is a £7 wine, smooth and full bodied (Merlot), the chicken 'PoshKiev' is excellent, and the cheese selection is good value even at original price. You win, getting all this for four quid, Tesco win, cos you're all talking about them and peops like me will now keep checking their (high margin, but good value) Meal Deals.
I think people will take the wine value as Asda price of £4.06 which is a decent price, leaving you 1p to pay for up to £12 worth of food.

Had the meatballs for tea with spaghetti (2Kg 1/2 price at mr T's down to £1.24) and garlic bread (£1 for 3 bagettes in freezer section) it was totally yummy. Paid for my meal deals seperate from my bargain Mr T shopping though. Have got chicken and lemon pies and asparagus chicken to try next.
Will crack open the wine soon!

Keep an eye on the tatties as i found the 30 to 35 minutes they recommend left them too crispy. I put them in the same time as the pie and cooked for 25m.

Funny, they are simply not interested over at HDUK http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/cheap-eats-tesco-buy-wines-10-finest-meal-deal-submit-voucher-price-check-cost-4/941759?page=2

I guess we are cleverer than that lot, some cheeky monkey suggested that I scan a receipt to prove it, best place for the receipt would have been shoved up his nether regions :D:beer::D:beer:

They are thick as 2 short planks over there

Seen a lot of people talking about this. Is it not still cheaper to buy the value pasta though? IMO it's exactly the same.

That's what I had, though, with the value baguettes at 47p and it was yummy! :D

I had to put them in for 40! I guess it depends how you like them and how hot your oven is when you put them in. I can never be bothered to preheat.

:( I went to get a meal deal earlier without any make up on, no ID either and they wouldn't serve me - gutted! I bought one yesterday fine.... ;) Will take ID next time.

Just think yourself lucky you still get asked for ID. I never have since birth except in a shop in Hornsea when I was 15 buying Vodka - suffice to say she was a little dim and took my Visa electron card as ID! I even went to over 21 clubs at 16 and never got asked :(
