In November I purchased a 12 month old Pixo for £4k with 9 miles on the clock.... I really don't care if it's not the prettiest, I really like the cost efficiency..

Cost per week are the £22 including tax, insurance and petrol... even if i stick deprciation and opportunity costs in... it's very cheap and id buy another...

A thumbs....

If you've bought one id be interested in your view...

I've been reading about these. Might go and have a test drive.

Why would a car be registered and then not move for 12 months?

Does it matter when it costs £4000? Many cars lie in a field for a year and sell for near enough full price.

This little car will still be worth £3000 when it comes to selling it when three years old.

These are essentially the same as the Suzuki Alto so no Renault infestation either. All good.

Well yes, it does matter, because they're only ~£5500 brand new so I'd want to know why it's not sold and has sat around for a year. What dealer would be mad enough to register it and then not even use it as a courtesy car?

    £6995 brand new actually.

Dealers often register cars to bump up sales figures. They're called 'Pre-Reg' cars

Where have you seen them for £5500?

I'm sure Arnold Clark were selling them for about that when I bought my Picanto - didn't like it though hence my choice.

Not yet! Watch for the next Pixo being based on the outgoing Twingo which in turn will probably be replaced by a rear-wheel drive new version based on the Smart For Four due to the link-up between Daimler and Renault. This 'infestation' seems to be aiming for world domination. Who's infested Red Bull Formula One cars with their 'useless' engines?

Watch me not buy the next version then.
