Do ticketout have a ticket tracker like seetickets? I ordered Iron Maiden tickets for next thursday way back in July and they only arrived yesterday. Its not unusual to have to wait until a few days before, although it is a little unnerving :)

There was a woman on today's BBC Three Counties Radio consumer programme with the same problem. She has been told to pick up the tickets at the actual venue tomorrow night and has been given the mobile number of the person who is supposed to have them.

Sounds very fishy to me. This reads just like the Getmetickets.com saga and the company that was on Watchdog this week.

I believe (although I may be wrong) that the recent trend in sending out tickets in the week(s) just before an event was to limit touting. Sites like eBay are now barring sale of tickets that are not 'in hand'. But of course this last minute practice is no good if there are postage/delivery problems because it doesn't leave enough time to fix the problem or resend tickets. Tricky situation really.

Hope you get your tickets okay nellie. Still over a week to go, although I appreciate the added stress that all this causes as I've been there.

Its a good idea in theory, problem is when they are gifts. I ordered 9 year old DD some My Chemical Romance tickets for March which she knows nothing about, they were a stocking filler for christmas but its very unlikely Ill have the tickets in hand before then. Looks like Ill have to make an I.O.U!!!

pulliptears - Yes you're right of course, it is a problem. But then again in my experience a lot of big gigs sell out straight away, with a large proprtion of the tickets going into the hands of touts who then immediately put them on eBay for double the cost.

But I don't have the answers, and seemingly nor do the concert promoters.

nellie - sorry about hijacking your thread to talk about ticket touts, I know it isn't exactly what you were complaining about.

Agree completely Kuohu, lost count of the number of gigs Ive wanted to go to only for all the tickets to be at double the cost on ebay. I suppose its a small price to pay if it cuts down on this.

Im sure the touts will always find a way...

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but after putting tickettout.co.uk into Google I have found a whole load of complaints about this company on the blagger website. It's the usual story of tickets not turning up tickets not turning up and broken promises. Westminster Trading Standards are investigating them.

After some more research I have found another website that is alleging that the company is owned by a former employee of Getmetickets.com. This was the company that was closed down by the DTI for taking money and not supplying tickets.

Luckily I paid by mastercard - bought the tickets as part of my son's Christmas present and thought it would be a good outing for the whole family - Im going to ring them again first thing in the morning. Dreading telling the rest of the family.
