Dear Vodafone.
I would like to be your customer. Honestly I really do. Despite having poor 3G signal in my area, the fact I can get a friends and family discount via my company means I'd like to still take out a contract for the new shiny HTC Sensation.
But for some reason a phone I tried over a year ago and returned (fully paid up) because of all the bugs it had jammed up my order over the weekend. Apparently the only way to clear the system was to delete my new order and reorder. I was told its Vodafone's system fault and nothing I'd done wrong.
Now firstly that's annoying because I ordered via Quidco which had £130 cashback over the weekend which now has expired. Anyway, I still want the phone so I did it all again.
So now all I want to is:
1) When will I get the phone? Do you have stock or will I now be right at the back of the queue and be told "Sorry we're out of stock" in 48 hours time? I don't see why I should miss out on my place because a fault in your own systems.
2) Do local stores have stock? If so, can I perhaps pick it up from stock out of a local store instead?
Personally I thought they would be fairly straightforward questions to answer but so far I've been passed from pillar to post. From monthly to e-sales to the warehouse. I've been cut off twice and my friend who works for Vodafone Corporate suggested I escalate to Customer Relations who I am told by your call centre agents "Don't take calls directly from customers!" What sort of relations is that!??!?! The irony is that even he can't find a contact email for your customer relations department despite him being in charge of sorting out your telephony contact centres!
Finally I've been told that you don't know when you will get stock in, you've no idea when I will get the phone (maybe next week) and that there's no way I can take my original place in the queue so it's tough if you run out of phones before my new order gets to the top of the list.
Stunning customer service....just stunning.
