Sainsburys corned beef is usually £1.79 and is lovely. For the last few visits to the store the shelf where it usually is still has the SEL but no stock - I am expecting it to have gone up substantially when it comes back in.Jane

The Typhoid Scare was in 1964 in Aberdeen. I would be more wary of using Scottish butchers than using Argentinian corned beefMy names not Bill but I am from Beverley0

At the Sainsburys I work at, its the same. We used to have Basics and normal S stuff 4 wide each. Now we made the Basics 8 wide.0 -
It shot up in price a few months ago, I often make corned beef pies and noticed the change in price. Netto is where I buy it now as they often have offers on the brand corned beef.0

Sadly you'll have to put Plan B into operation, as Netto are no more, and your local Netto will be turning into an ASDA sometime real soon.0 -

I too have noticed how much cornbeef has shot up. As a keen baker of pies for my hubby and kids it is no longer a cheap meal. Its actually cheaper to buy a ready made pie!
Also stewing steak in a tin...i remember being able to buy that is the £1 shop....now i think myself lucky if i can find it half price for £1.50 somewhere.
Home bargains sometimes have the John West cornbeef and stewing steak in but its hit or miss in there. If your near a home bargains and they have some for that price, i suggest u stock up!Slimming World Challenge 2017 0/30.5lb

Home Bargains still had the John West corned beef at £1.49 yesterday. Across the way at the Co-op they were selling Princes at £2.59 "If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
