Central Ticketing Ltd parking ticket

Hi

Could anyone please help me? I visited Cheshire Oaks back in April and I parked over two parking bays as I have two young children (one 6 week old & one 4 year old) as there was no Parent and child parking available.

I arrived and parked the car at 1420 the time we got buggy out and the children all organized (which would have taken 3 to 4 minutes)

After we had been to Clarks and purchased some shoe (at 14.41) we went back to the car to find a ticket had been issued for parking over two bays. The time of issue was 1425 which means the person issuing the ticket must been in the area and watched us park and unload to car, instead of coming over and advising that we are over to bays and were we aware that we couldn’t park like that. I didn’t see any signs in the area regarding parking.

I have appealed to central ticketing over 30 days ago and I heard nothing back yet. I am expecting it to come back unsuccessful as most appeals to Central Ticketing are not successful.

According to most threads and forum they say not to pay but I am a bit worried as I am maternity leave and on SMP so don’t want to end up with being taken to court and have to a large fine. Please could someone please advise me?

Many thanks

Well, if you have read the other threads, then you know the answer despite your fears. You won't go to court or suffer any of their other empty threats.

Just stay firm and ignore them totally from now-on.

You didn't 'appeal' ...There's no such thing as appealing to private parking companies....In future, if you receive anything other than council tickets or police fines...Ignore them...Oh, heads up though...You will get a lot of junk mail through in the next few months, possibly some debt recovery letters, or even letters from companies alleging they've 'purchased your debt'...These are all scare mongering tactics, and you'll feel alarmed at the 'official' look of these letters... As pogofish has said,

IGNORE THEM ALL...I always suggest making a file and putting them all in there for whenever you're bored and want to amuse yourself looking through them :)

I know I appealed before I read any forums wish I hadn't appealed now as i provided them with my address instead of making them work to find my address. thanks for your help

Well they would have paid the DVLA for your address anyway so it doesn't make a difference...You just happened to save them some time and money, but anyways...Cut all ties with them and don't communicate with them any further

    Just ignore it.

Enough said really once you've read the stickies and seen the Watchdog video and letter chains. Show your OH and any doubting friends/family the Watchdog video and the letter-chains so you can see what rubbish to ignore next. All stand firm and understand this is a scam.

Do not even think about paying and make sure your OH also doesn't fall for it.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have now receivced a "Notice to Owner Final Reminder" from a company called Parking Collection Services 4 months after I received the ticket. I have no other reminders or correspondence in the 4 months prior to receiving this final reminder

I was just wondering if anyone had heard of this company linked to Central Ticketing and if the advise is still the same to ignor?

    Thanks

PCS is the trading name of a debt collector called Debt Recovery Plus. Continue to ignore these people as they have no rights beyond those that you and I have to "enforce" debts. All they can do, other than asking us nicely to pay up, is to stamp their feet and make a lot of stupid threats. If they want to print sections of their letters in red and with large bold print then it is a free country.......
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

As`already posted just ignore the idiots.

It is not a genuine "Notice to Owner" (NTO)..that is a document issued by Councils for real enforceable statutory tickets ..what you have is a begging letter with no authority behind it pretending to be something it isn't ..IGNORE

I have now received a 3 letters off Debt Recovery Plus Ltd

    1. Saying they have been rerquested to obtain the debt from me
    2. Notice of Intended Litigation
    3. Reduced Payment Offer

If i just keep ingnoring are they going to take me to court or send the baliffs in? I am starting to get a bit worried now as these letter are coming really quickly. Do I still keep on ingnoring them and how much longer do I have to put up with the letters?

    Thanks
