Teletext holidays

HI guys,
We are looking to book to go away in June and there is lots of great deals on Teletext holidays...
But I have checked out few of the companies reviews online and each has few very very bad reviews...
Now, if they were really that rubbish surely they would go under and I know some of them are around for a while. Also people are more likely to post bad review on a company (as a kind of a revenge) then good reviews if they were happy. But it still leaves me vary...
Have anyone booked through Teletext and have any good experiences?

If you get a named hotel, then check through trip advisor before booking. These companies sell flights and hotels...some better than others. Check online hotel reviews before booking as this is usually the biggest inconvenience if it goes wrong when on your hols!:money:
Most poor reports are from bad accommodation!0 -

That is obvious, I am not worried about the hotel.
The question is whether I even end up at the hotel I booked if I book with one of these companies!
Whether they are reputable.0 -
I've booked through Teletext and the accomodation and flight times were usually pretty poor, but it is a bit cheaper.
I always ended up at the accommodation where they told me that I was going to, it just was usually very basic and not that great, but matched the reviews I found.
What I used to do is look on teletext, speak to one of the companies, and then use the flight times and accommodation info they told me and shop around again, to see if you can book it direct or cheaper elsewhere.0 -
Well, they are offering the same hotels as the big companies, only about £70 pp cheaper.
I have done extensive search on the destination where we want to go, and they really are coming as the best price.
They flight time and accomodation info are all specified already here.
Did they put up any extras on top of it once you rung them?
Costly transfers etc?0 -

BUT the big companies may have bought large allocations of the best rooms at the hotel, the £70pp cheaper may be for rooms with the small balcony and north facing view.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

True, but most seem willing to resell the accommodation they have block booked to smaller holiday firms. At least, that is my experience.0 -
How would we know reselling is happening and if that £70pp cheaper room is a re-sold best room?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

You probably won't. However, I have never been disappointed with my room allocation. In fact, with the last holiday I booked, the accommodation was upgraded from what I had originally asked for (with my consent.)0 -

I am not planning to spend much time at the hotel room TBH.
And having gone with large company for their price before and still been allocated a room with window facing a wall I don't think I will get necesarilly better room for going with the big company.
And I know some other people at the resort paid less and got even better rooms then us. But they didn't say which company they went with (I know it was through Teletext, but at the time we didn't ask exactly who with).0 -

So you have booked with one of the small companies before?0
