Good Afternoon, finished my bathroom and its gleaming now.

silvermaid Sorry to hear of your loss, remember her last words always to you, she is at peace now

Eldest DD dropped in for coffee after doing her banking for school, she seemed quite perky and full of beans ,must be the sunshine.DGD Holly takes her driving test next week I have everything crossed for her
Just about to put my feet up and do a bit of knitting (afternoons for playtime) I was going swimming but after all that bending and scrubbing in the bathroom I think my joints need a bit of a rest this afternoon.I think I will make a tropical fruit salad later as I have in the fruit bowl melon, pineapple, oranges and grapes, The melon must be used up as it will get too soft by the end of the week.I also have some apples and a couple of plums so I may make a big bowl which should last several days.I have some natural yoghurt I can use instead of cream as a topping so that will be a nice healthy option I think.I adore fresh fruit and could happily live on it instead of ordinary food, but I don't know how healthy it would be long term.A good third of my budget goes on fruit and veg.
Right I'm going to put the kettle on for some coffee I think.I might break out my DDs present that she bought me a couple of months ago ,some posh Fortnum and Mason fresh coffee, all I have to do is dig out my cafetierre
Have a good day everyone Take care
    JackieO xx
P.S.meanmarie I too prefer rasberries to strawberries but they are so expensive to buy over here.My late Uncle Robert had a market garden and as children we would love visiting him as we were allowed to eat as much as we wanted to, no doubt accounts for my love of fruit

    Evening all

Silvermaid - so sorry for your loss xx
Cranky - happy birthday my lovely!

Bit of a pointless day in work. We had to go and be bums on seats for a groups' presentation in Barry, which is a 3 hour round trip from where we are based!! Made my vertigo play up :( but we did have a fun road trip.

My night out with uni peeps only turned into an afternoon, I was home by 8pm! Everyone ended up driving and having to leave early so we went to local pub and had late lunch and few drinks, but we all enjoyed. I got a lift to nearest train station and got train home (for free cos there was no ticket man!)

I'm trying to have a chill out evening tonight but I'm having trouble relaxing cos I keep thinking I need to do uni work :rotfl:.

Not much OS here, did a spot of food shopping earlier. I'm gonna get back on the OS and diet wagon from Sunday, it's slipped a bit in last few weeks.

    Have a good evening all

Not long back from dd parents evening, and am shattered.Excellent report,
all the teachers are happy with how dd has been since she moved schools.Apparently she has a flair in Music especially singing:eek::eek:I must have totally different hearing to her music teacher, either that or it is a different child she is thinking of;).She excels in Pe which is something I have sort of known for quite a while and the fact that she now attends a sports specialist school will only grow on that.So I am a very happy mum atm and have an even happier daughter.
Dgn has ended up sleeping here tonight , she went to the park with her " big brothers" as she calls them once they come home from school and came back exhausted so has had some macaroni cheese with hm quiche made by ds1 been splashing round in the tub and is now curled up on "parkies" lap having a story before going to bed *(parkie is really ds3 Mark).Dd is letting her have her bed and she is sleeping on the put u up bed in her room so she doesnt get frightened .Expecting an early morning :eek:

Happy Birthday Cranky, it's my DD2's birthday today.
All the best people then huh? :)

Thank you all for my birthday wishes. It's a bit of a mixed bag of a day as tomorrow we should have been celebrating my lovely husband Paul's birthday and our 9th wedding anniversary. I've tried to keep smiling.

Just wanted to send Silvermaid a big hug. People are never really lost to us as long as they are in our hearts and memories xxx
