Cancelling O2 contract early

I'm a student who up until last friday lived in a shared house. When i moved in i had to have the phone line re-connected with BT and thus had line rental with them. I then took out broadband with O2 because being an O2 customer i got a discount.
Anyhoo, short of it is, both contracts run out in October but having moved out (rest of housemates move out at beginning of June) we won't need internet/line rental any longer. So there's 4 months of the contracts remaining.
I know i have to pay the remainder of the contract with BT, but i wasn't sure about O2 (can't get on their site at the mo). Will it be the same?
Thanks in advance

Unless you have the service moved to your new address you will have to pay the remainder of the contract. I got out of my O2 contract because they sold it to me by saying I could phone them and they would set up the service at my new address, they couldn't fulfil this even though both kitz & samknows sites said O2 was available at the new address.
If you new address doesn't have internet you could transfer it free of charge, as O2 do one free move per 12 months, I believe, but if you are moving to somewhere that already has an internet connection then you will have to pay the early termination fee.Someone please tell me what money is0
