Hong Kong hotels in October

I am travelling from New Zealand back to the UK at the end of October.
I have booked a stopover in Hong Kong for a few nights.
I am looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the area and I am finding it quite difficult to find something within my budget (I could really stretch to 100 pounds per night but would rather spend less).
Even the budget hotels appear to be more than 100 pounds per night.
I won't spend much time in the hotel, so I'm not bothered about loads of extra facilities in the hotel itself, but I do like places to be clean...
Can anyone recommend budget hotels in the Hong Kong area?
Also, I've tried looking for 'Top Secret' hotel sites for the Hong Kong area but can't find anything - can anyone help with this?
Thanks :money:

If you wait nearer the time say 2-3 months before your stay there will be more offers on the 3 star + hotels. This is true for any location.0

Try these people. Have used them quite often, through Cambodia, Vietnam, Hong Kong etc. Good rates and service.

Ive not looked at the hotel itself but this is what I got on wiki
Chungking Mansions, is a building located at 36–44 Nathan Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The building is well known as nearly the cheapest accommodation in Hong Kong. Though the building is supposedly residential, it is made up of many independent low-budget hotels, shops, and other services. The unusual atmosphere of the building is sometimes compared to that of Kowloon Walled City.[1]
Chungking Mansions features guesthouses, curry restaurants, African bistros, clothing shops, sari stores, and foreign exchange offices. It often acts as a large gathering place for some of the ethnic minorities in Hong Kong, particularly South Asians (Indians, Nepalese, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and Sri Lankans), Middle Eastern people, Nigerians, Europeans, Americans, and many other peoples of the world. Peter Shadbolt of CNN stated that the complex was the "unofficial African quarter of Hong Kong."[2]
The building was completed in 1961, at which time Chinese residents predominated. Now, after more than four decades of use, there are an estimated 4,000 people living in the Mansions.
To me that sounds a cheap place to stay which has a bit of culture !??!! and if it is terrible - my OH travelled round China in November with his friends and the dearest place they stayed was our equivalent to £20 per night a room , may I add the dear one had loads of swimming pools and they were on top level ...
I have not clicked on these links yet ...I maybe surprised myself yet lol xxEbay Bag A Day Challenge 2012- :staradmin

Thanks for this but that website doesn't work very well. Got fed up with it!0 -
There is also Mirador Mansions. If you are not bothered about space, there are a fair amount of perfectly acceptable rooms there.
Stayed there a few times in my backpacking days. Last time took a triple room all to myself to get some extra space. Could barely turn around in the bathroom.
Room was clean and newly refurbished. Think that I may have paid £40 or less.
My room looked much like this.
The cheaper rooms, say £30 and under, are smaller. Though fine for the basics; sleeping and showering.
Here is an example You can book it on Hostelbookers.
Here is a good video showing Chungking Mansions0 -
