Yes logically I know you are right and I suppose I was trying to find the least stressful way of doing the claim but GP it will be. Unless my GP says it is something he will only do if officially asked as I am sure I have read somewhere else on this forum?0 -

No, it's not necessarily. The person who sees you most and knows how your illness affects your life, is alawys going to be better. Especially as they may contact your GP or other professional anyway. Let someone who sees you on a day to day basis.
Like you I rarely moan to my GP as I'm quite a stoical person, it's only the last few years that I've really opened up to him. There's also usually not enough time to go through everything, but your wife will not need to have anything explained to her she sees it everyday. If it had to be a professional they'd say so, I've always used my husband and never had a problem.0
