I don't get why people are so keen to cancel. The policy is great value, even before taking into account the gift card & cashback. Goes againt the spirit of the offer - not surprised they pulled the offer & arent playing ball with the cash back.

Mayhap that's because we're on the MoneySAVINGexpert thread and buying life assurance is probably one of the least (personal) money saving things you can do. I have a policy through my pension at work and therefore do not need the life assurance. Many others won't need it simply because if the worst was to happen, the state would sort out the "remainder".

If you find it good value and want to keep it, great, but don't judge other's situation.
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

Personally it's not good value for me as love life insurance provides more than twice the cover for the same £5 a month.

You're right, it is MondaySAVINGexpert, but now people who want to save in the future on their Life Insurance policy won't be able to get such a good deal because people abused the offer with no intention of keeping the policy. You won't see an offer this good again.

If you're so keen on saving, and can't afford a life insurance policy, why take one out? It ruins it for genuine customers.

WRONG! You won't see an offer like this again because it was a mistake, the offer was for £50 either a giftcard or £50 cashback (as evidenced by the fact that you could various offers involving £50 all over the place from Tesco). Someone somewhere dropped a "B" and added both to quidco I think the reason it was pulled so quickly and blamed on "us" was the fact it was an error there's no way £100 back on a £5/month policy should have existed it's crazy

Thanks for that. I could not remember if I went through Quidco but have just checked and it does not show on my history. So Gift Card arrived today am off to spend some of it together with my £12.00 off a £60.00 spend from Sainsbury,s token, Daily Mail £5.00 off £40.00 spend from yesterday's paper and £5.00 off £50.00 spend from Till spit. So £22.00 off a £60.00 spend and pay balance of £38.00 with Free Gift Card. Thanks again Mr T.

Just received my £50 gift card today! Yay!

No sign of any progress for the cashback though. Do we assume they're not honouring it and give up? I have no need of this insurance, so cancelling is now a very attractive option.
