We are thinking about changing all our services for our tv, phone and internet. We're currently with Virgin but it's costing a fortune each month so we're thinking of going with o2 for our broadband and I was wondering what people experiences with them were?

We use the internet for general surfing, usually 2 laptops but don't really play games or download much apart from the odd album on iTunes.

O2 are very good with broadband although now they have a bit of throttling on the connections, they have a sister company Be which uses exact same network without any restrictions and very fair usage policy.

Be are exceptional for price, reliability, service and value for money. Plus they have deals with only a 3 month rolling contract as opposed to signing up for the full 12 months like most places have you, but chances are you'll not want to leave. Been with them just over 2 years now and although there have been issues, they've really got them sorted fast. O2 own be, I believe it was buying them that allowed them to provide their own broadband in the first place so I'd assume the service etc. to be the same...

Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.
  • We have been with 02 for about 18 months now, and never had a problem with them. I have never had to call their customer support either. Everything just seems to work, at least for our needs. I am considering leaving but that is just because their are better offers available, as our exchange isn't on the 02 network.
  • i have had o2 for 5 years
    reliablity pretty good
speed download 12 mb on main computer upload 1mb
    6mb using wifi
router i use the one supplied but might upgrade it soon
no longer a good deal for new people as T&c have changed
i would recommed be as well not the cheapest but fast :T

O2 LLU or 02 Access (non-LLU)?The former is pretty good, the latter is terrible.
    2 very different services.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
