Hi weve got the chance to go to florida, and monarch are quite reasonable. Upgrades are £99 per person. Just wondered what others have thought of them? And most importantly for some other members in our party, whats the food like and are the tv/films any good?
Many thanks for any help

To be honest I did not know that Monarch flew to Orlando - to me the food and tv is of no importance if I could save some serious money!0

The cost is for 7 adults, 2 apartments and taxi to and from airport and free sanford lounge passes, plus upgrades flights for just over £6300. Its for 2 weeks in sept 2012. Thomson wanted £8500. Wasnt sure a bout the flights with monarch thats all.

We flew with them to Kenya last year.
Like terriandaaron says they don't have seatback tvs - they are the drop down tvs over the centre of the aisle.
Think there was only one film on the flight and the rest was sitcoms.Debt at Highest: £11,630.10 (May 2006) Debt now: £0.00 !!!!Married to the man of my dreams :A - Sat 2nd June 20070 -

I'd not bother ringing them - extract from Monarch's website on what you get with Premium:On a long flight, its only natural to want to treat yourself to the very ultimate in comfort and service. An upgrade to Monarch Premium is available on selected flights to Goa, Grenada, Tobago, Mexico and Florida where the following upgraded levels of comfort and service are available:
Premium leather seats with an improved seat width
More leg room - seat pitch of up to 34 inches
Increased seat recline with adjustable headrests, pillows and blankets
Amenity packs
For your entertainment:
Individual seat back or personal video entertainment system
Free headsets
At your service:
Complimentary welcome drink and FREE bar service
Upgraded catering with a choice of entr!es and superior wine
Increased baggage allowance of up to 30kg
Dedicated check in desks at most airports
Priority boarding and baggage reclaim
Upgrade from just £99 per person, return
Are you sure it's only £99 to upgrade?
It says 'from £99'.
I know Premium seats to Goa (India) are around £250 return extra.0 -
Hi thanks for the reply, if you book now, as a special promotion there are 30 seats per flight at premium level and are £99 return for the upgrade. Just got a written quote at the coop, and have rang cosmos direct and they made it even less. They havent released the new brochure yet for 2012, so if anyone wants a cheaper option for going to orlando, then maybe its one to consider. They have even got a taxi to and from the airport for £258 and thats for 7 adults, should you not want to pay for car hire.

Their 'premium' offering has a 34" seat pitch and personal TVs, which puts it in-line with many other carriers standard economy products.
Apparently Monarch's seat pitch in economy is 29 or 30" on long haul. :eek:Legal team on standby0
