Way too early to be up Missy, just like me. I'm waiting for Ocado to come (proxy parenting at bosses' house), I mean who would order shopping on a Sunday as early? Also cleaner arrives at 8.15. Come on, people, Sunday is for resting not for doing things! It's horrible, but at least little boy is still in bed, went down at 7 last night. We were both knackered, I was in bed by 9:).

Good luck with ebay, hope you'll get some good money for Venice!

    hello

Ebay isnt actually going to bad have made £133.11 at the moment, come on get to £150!!!

Been having lots of difficult thinking time this weekend, really don't know what to do with my career :( Now as you all know I am doing my degree in english. Now I (think) would really like to be a home ec teacher, am really good at this sort of stuff. Was originally planning to do the last 3 modules of my degree over the next 3 years, whilst working as a teaching assistant 2 days a week, OH's mum has already been kind enough to say she would look after the baby. And then when baby is at nursery age do a GTP/PGCE (teacher training) so when they are at school age I am able to then go into teaching..... My worry is that, teachers dont work school hours, they work over and above them so child would have to go into childminder/after school clubs which I don't really like (OH's mum lives too far away to pick up from school) If I'm earning good money OH wouldn't have to work so many days away, but then I would be working all of the time and be tired constantly along with looking after child/ren which I don't want to go back to, it will be like rewinding and me being in the military again working all the hours :( Part time teaching jobs are obviously very few and far between.....

There are other options, 1 is to work my backside off and get my degree done in a year whilst baby is tiny and sleeps a lot, then be able to do my teacher training next september and hopefully the school I work at now will take me on (which would be a dream come true) as one of their teachers is retiring next september. But have even more childcare issues then. But would have my dream job, but again working all the hours....

Or carry on being a teaching assistant, finish my degree as I have started it anyway but just carry on working school hours just not earning much. but having more time with OH and children

Or carry on being a teaching assistant, finish my degree, do my teacher training, become a supply teacher, so I could work odd days when OH is home so I still get to spend a lot of time with him and children and have no childcare issues but earn decent money. Trouble is not guaranteed and short notice..... and wont ever have my own class in a school.

Or do i just finish my degree as I have started it, do what i always planned and dreampt about and start up my own business making cakes/sewing things, so I am always at home but make a little money and give up my dream of teaching.....

So many options and so confusing.

any advice or thoughts would be very much appreciated x

your doing very well with the cleaning and nesting thing. I never had it, kept waiting for the nesting to kick in but no luck. Didn't even bother getting OH to put the cot together until I had gone it to labour, so lazy
I have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammar :)

hi ya miss corerupted, Im not doing that well now, just feel super lazy, although I think that will all change when I am finished work, as will have much more time, don't have much choice about clearing some things though, the middle room will be the nursery and all my Cr-rubbish is in there, although I am doing ok and clearing it on ebay, although I have another 50 things to put on there which I am putting off!!

The difference a day can make! Ha ha!! Well done, you :T

As for the career - why not finish your degree and then see how you feel from there? Until baby is here it is hard to know exactly how you will feel. After i had my 1st i completely underestimated how much of an impact having a baby had had on me. I only realised with hindsight.

The time goes so fast you don't want to be overly focused on something else 'cause you'll miss out on the little one. My youngest is now nearly 20 months, yet i remember what i was doing the day i went into labour like it was yesterday. I can't believe how big he's getting.

I work 3 days per wk and it is a nice balance. Not much money but my time with him is the best.

Have you discussed this with your OH?
One step at a time ;)

ok so list of jobs today,

go to work (yes this is on my to do list as I have been awake since 0330 and really really dont want to go!)
    Pick up maternity form
    Fill it in
Go to Te$co and get some bits
Take the rest of photos for ebay stuff
    list all the ebay stuff
pack at least half of the sold stuff
    wash bedding
    make midwife appt
book tickets to see comedy show
Have scary meeting with boss about future!

Well a lot to get on with and most I can't do until I get home at 4pm, so will be busy tonight, that's if I can keep awake, so very tired :(

ok so only have just over a week until OH gets home.

    Goals before then
Sell and send off all ebay stuff, so stuff that has sold and stuff to be listed! Dont want anything left when he gets back, so if things don't sell, then charity shop/clothes bank it is!
Finish clearing out paperwork from middle room
    Tidy up middle room
hang up all clothes that are clean and in baskets everywhere!
General clean through of bathrooms, hoover, dust, kitchen stuff
    shopping
    empty rubbish from fridge
Dreaded Utility room! I swear things just germinate in there and grow, there is so much stuff I don't know what to do with!

Ok so not actually too bad, must do the ebay stuff asap, have next weekend and mon and tue of the following week to do the cleaning as have no plans, now to find some motivation, that's the hard bit, might ask my sister or someone to come round and keep me company whilst I do stuff.....
