Hi,

I am having huge problems with microsoft office 2007, esp powerpoint.
at the moment I cant even make one slide iwthout it crashing every 30 secs.
it just says not responding. It is getting to the point that a 6 slide presentation has now taken me over a day as it keeps crashing.

I have run the diagnosis and it says nothing is wrong. I have tried putting the installation cd back into it and clicking on repair but it says there is nothing to repair.
it also says I have laready installed sp2 for it
I am running windows xp home.
1gb ram
intel 5200 processor. 4tb memory

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Could be a bit of a pain and not guaranteed to fix it, but have you tried uninstalling and re-installing just Powerpoint from the Office suite?
If it's multiple apps within Office, you could re-install the whole suite, which you would then have to also apply the SP to.
That's assuming other programmes outside of Office run OK.

Maybe it's a conflict with some software you have on both machines.
Is there anything you have installed on both that is always active?

    There is a plug in

The Norton AntiVirus plug-in for Microsoft Office scans documents for macro virus infections in Office products. This plug-in may cause performance issues, the inability to open files within Office, or the inability to install some Office programs.

You're trying to use Microsoft Office 2007 on Windows XP! I would have only used upto Office XP on it.
