BT Contract Renewal

So my BB and Phone contract ends this month. At the moment, I'm paying £15.40 per month for BB Option 1 and get Free Evening & Weekend Calls.
I'm interested in getting Sky Sports on BT Vision. On their website they have a pack for £18 per month giving you BB Option 2, Weekend Calls and BT Vision PAYG - you can then add sports channels for £12.30 per month. Total cost would be £30.30 per month plus line rental.
I'm wondering if its best to just take this package or whether to phone BT and try to haggle, if I don't get a TV, BB and Phone pack however Sky Sports would be £17.40 per month.
So, basically do i take this £18 pack or try to haggle for a better deal?

Have you thought of Top up TV?
http://www.topuptv.com/
You just need one of their freeview boxes or a CAM and card for your TV.
Check on Samknows for LLU operators at your exchange to get a better broadband deal. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Although I do not subscribe to any 'vision' packages I would say ring up and ask for your MAC code(as if you were leaving them) and typical response is "We hate to see you go, what could we have done to keep you?" This happened to me a couple of days ago so I told them:) resulting in unlimited calls and unlimited broadband for less than I was paying for option2 saving me just under £145 year!
Only slight downside was I had to ring and cancel the new provider I had just signed up with but the offer was just too good to turn down with BT.0 -
My BT contract came up for renewal last January(was paying £15.40 same as you)
After haggling got Option 1 for £5 per month + anytime calls for £5 per month.
Also paid line rental for 12months in advance for £120, making it £20 per month for broadband ,calls & line rental which I was satisfied with.0 -
Yes, I too rang up for my MAC code with BT. I was offered unlimited calls and Option 3 BB for £13. I then pre-paid line rental at £120. You DO have to talk to the UK outfit though, as their outsourced call centres are unable to offer much help with pricing. BT have been the best supplier to date, so I'm happy to stay with them for another year. I do wonder whether anyone actually pays their headline rates!0

Can anyone confirm the number to call to speak to BT in the UK? I'm currently with BT for phone and option 3 BB. It's costing me approx £36 a month and I definitely need to reduce this. Not sure how long is left to run on BB contract - just looked on bt.com and can't find that information.
I'd like to find out if they can offer me a better deal but when I tried calling I was getting through to an overseas call centre and they were hopeless to deal with.0 -
