hi

just a quick question and wondering if any one can advise, i have cancelled orange maps today which costs £5 a month, they have confirmed will be cancelled straight away which is what i want (as im going on hols for a few weeks soon and wont need whilst i am away or the next couple of weeks before i go)

however just realised that the phone bills forward charge for it, so the bill that was produced over night last night covers orange maps from today until 17 june,

does any one know, if this is adjusted so my direct debit that is due to be taken 2 june will be less than the bill amount to reflect the change, or do they refund it the following month??

My first post - lucky you!

Now I can't answer your question with regards to billing but I do have a question for you. What phone / operating system are you using and why are you paying for orange maps in the first place?

The reason I ask is that if you were for example using a phone with android you could use google maps (or any other free android app) at no extra cost other than the data used. Paying extra for orange maps isn't necessarily that cost effective.

  • Hi anna42hmr

If your bill was produced on the 17th, then the amount showing as due on this bill will still be taken from your Direct Debit around 10 working days later. Any credit applied to your account would normally appear on the following bill.

If you contact our Customer Service Helpdesk again, they will be able to confirm what adjustments have been made to your account and how this will show on your bill. Alternatively, I'd be happy to take a look at this myself, if you contact us via Twitter or Facebook using the information on our Profile page.

    I hope this helps.
