I'm a smoker and have no incentive to give up, but I do smoke mainly roll ups with the occasional packet of cigarettes from trips abroad and this is entirely due to the cost.

Put it this way., I think you will find it easier to save the £67 a month from this that from any other catergory or combination of catergories as the rest of your costs look reasonably low - the figure for entertainment looks reasonable, your rent is reasonable, your grocery budget is very good, you don't have a mobile etc.

Could you increase your income at all?

I havent tried roll ups the only reason is i cant roll other wise i would be happy to smoke roll ups i was looking to work from home in my current role im training to be a supervisor which will mean more money and more hours. does any one know of any bussiness where i can apply to work from home with them?

i have tried giving up smoking numerous times i just cant do it im on the lowest package that sky will give me and i cant leave as im still tied into a contract. i live on my own in a one bedroom flat. my tv lisence is £5 a week so thats £20 a month

Can you smoke rollies instead of straights at least? (if you can't roll you can buy little rolling devices for about £1)

With Sky you definitely have extras on there, and I'm guessing from the cost that it's the Movies packages. I argues Sky down on mine from £38 with both Movies packages to £27 by threatening to leave. However, I was out of contract, and you are not. Equally though, you need to ring them and check that you cannot reduce by removing these packages, as it's not necessarily the packages that you are tied into for the first year, it is the contract itself. You can pay as little as £15 per month for phone, bb and sky tv. You will still have your line rental to pay with BT though.

TV Licenses are definitely £12 or £13 a month - why is yours £5 a week? Are you in arrears and paying them back or something?

I would look at the up your income board for some ideas.
    Up Your Income
Have you checked if you would be entitled to any benefits such as working tax credit or housing benefit/council tax benefit?

If you pay your TV licence weekly you should definitely set up Direct Debit - also, are all your other bills paid this way as utilitiy companies sometimes offer a reduction for paying this way.
Agree you MUST cut down on the old cigs. I have given up, well I "treat" myself when I go out (very rare these days). You have to think what's more important - smoking or the risk of getting a court summons cos you can't pay your debts!!
I would have thought on that income you would be entitled to some kind of working tax credit? Visit you CAB for advice.
Agree also to look at Up Your Income board, or look for a better paid job...
