Dixons customer service

Options
Long story but I ordered and prompty cancelled an order with Dixons.

Anyway, they decided to deliver anyway (only DD at home so wouldn't have known to refuse).

We waited in all day yesterday for pick up and no-one turned up.

When I phoned I was totally fobbed off and told that someone 'might' still come but the traffic is bad. I pressed for and honest answer and I just knew I was being lied to. They knew full well at this point that they weren't coming, why not just be honest???

I know thinkgs don't always go to plan and promises can't be fulfilled but I really dislike dishonesty.

It will now be left upto me to contact them to make new arrangements, they said I can't return to store as they don't have any now. They need a 9.5 hour window to call too.

that's rubbish - last time i ordered something from dixons was during the bad snow. they were remarkably good at keeping in touch via text message to let me know what was happening, more than i expected. i think i could also check the night before to get a more accurate window for delivery. so this might be a one-off bad service?

at this point, can't you just cancel the order since that's what you wanted to do in the first place?

Yes I did read this post, this is when I meant the oP to refuse the delivery.

She did cancel, they still sent the delivery - refuse delivery, job done.

I presume when the OP says fetch, she actually means take.

I take it that this is a large item you cannot transport to the store yourself?

If you read the post then how did you miss this line?

If you read the OP they have already asked if they could return it to a store and got told no as there are no Dixons stores anymore. I'm guessing they won't allow you to return it to Currys or PC World either which Dixons own.
