Am in the same boat. Would love, can't afford... Am consoling myself by taking the high moral ground and not sticking on a credit card...
No help, just sympathy...

I always think that a book, unlike a kindle, is so cheap, i won't be miffed if i leave it on the train.
And also, unlike the kindle, you can throw a decent paperback off an eighth floor balcony onto the concrete below, and it will still be readable.
And with a traditional book, i like the much-vaunted Manual Page-Turning Facility (MP-TF®).
That Facility, which is not currently available on the Kindle, doesn't require costly AAA batteries that need replacing all too often.0 -
How about buying a tab?

ASbokid - I agree with all your other "pro-real book" points but the final one is not really relevant as the kindle doesn't use batteries. Its charge lasts for days and days and then I just plug it into the recharger overnight.
I wouldn't have bought it if it involved batteries
(And i really, really, really love my kindle - you can get such bargain books for it!!)0
