    no its not timekeeping, i turn up to work 15 min early if anything, she feels that i am not doing enough in between customers ie cleaning shelves etc, but we are a busy shop so by the time you have walked off the till, closed the security door, and got to a shelf there will be a customer at the till. I have tried but i never see any of the other staff doing it

    Personally I would ask her to have a quick meeting about this.

    Ask her explicitly what she wants you to do, does she want you to close the door or clean the shelves? Could there be a way of closing the door without going to it? ( ie a buzzer system like i have seen in jewelers? ) what sort of shop is it? Is there a risk to staff from customers? Wondering why theres a security door...

    yes i am greatful for the good advice i have been given and im not saying people havent given me advice. It just seems some people feel the need to criticise my post rather than say anything constructive. I have no family near me at all, so feel i can ask things like this on forums, they are like 'family' i guess

    HA tenants recieve LHA, I think you need to go through a calculator to see if you would get it, I think you might be surprised.

    oh ok thank you, i have work 6am-10am tommorow so i will go to the council after work and see what they say

    EDIT: The link you gave says this
    Entitlement

    LHA is for people who are on a low income and living in private rented accommodation.
    You cannot get LHA if:
    • You are a council or housing association tenant;
    • You have a tenancy that started before 1989;
    • You live in a caravan, mobile home or house boat;
    • You live in a hostel.

    OP - did you not receive LHA (or maybe you referred to it as housing benefit?) before you were working? How did you pay your rent when you were unemployed?

    Sorry, I was a bit distracted:

    Its housing benefit for Housing associations and council
    And LHA for private landlords
