I have the 5th tooth from front tooth on the bottom currently as a tempory crown...I was offered only a white replacement I wouldnt have wanted gold!...ive had to pay and the total bill for replacing broken tooth with a tempory one and then the eventual crown is £296
There`s only supposed to be three band charges for NHS dental work, the max being £204.
Is yours being done privately?

The three bands are only in England and Wales but cost different amounts in both. Scotland and NI still have fee per item and costs will vary.
On the NHS you cannot just pay the difference between a white and metal crown, if you want a white one in these circumstances you will have to pay total cost privately . Normally £250 to £400 ish.0 -
Okay, he's sending off for my crown and it is a white one, cos he said it was one of the front - except you can hardly see it, even when I smile.
Well, I say white... Gosh teeth are ugly when they start comparing colours.:wall:0
