Took out a £100 loan earlier on in the year, due to my circumstances changing i couldnt afford to pay it straight back, Toothfairy wouldnt help me at all, they wouldnt offer me a payment plan, nothing. Anyway for the past 6 months ive had endless calls and text messages from MH Bailiffs threatening home visits within 7 days, 2 weeks ago they were saying i owed £425 now from the text message i have just had the grand total is £ 772. Ive spoken to these people endless times and im now at the point of k=not knowing whjat to do, they are making my life a living hell!! Everytime ive spoken to someone there they talk over me, not prepared to listen. I no longer live in the address they have and i know no bailiffs have been to the property as its my parents....how can i get rid of these people, ive always been prepared to pay £100 the original amount but they wont have it.

You took a loan for £100, why a small amount ?

Surely there was another avenue you could have chosen to avoid loaning £100 eg speak to your bank.

There's some good advice in tigger's response to you:

    1. Phone conversations do not work with this bunch so stop having them. Change number as instructed and only correspond in writing.

    2. If this is part of a bigger problem, contact CAB or one of the other organisations in Martin's list) for help

  • "The OFT must take immediate action to investigate and suspend these companies. These firms pose a real risk to people looking to get a short term loan to help tide them over, says the CEO of the Citizens Advice Bureau.

But doesn't mention who these four companies are!:mad:

The charity did not name the lenders but said two were “household names”.
    Could get interesting.
Knock four down will mean four less to carry on their deceitful practices...... or maybe another four new ones will appear to carry on their deceitful practices.
