No. You've had debt collectors at your door. Debt collectors are not bailiffs, no matter how much they would like you think they are, and they have no rights to be on your land or interfere with your property if you do not want them there. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
Took out a £100 loan earlier on in the year, due to my circumstances changing i couldnt afford to pay it straight back, Toothfairy wouldnt help me at all, they wouldnt offer me a payment plan, nothing. Anyway for the past 6 months ive had endless calls and text messages from MH Bailiffs threatening home visits within 7 days, 2 weeks ago they were saying i owed £425 now from the text message i have just had the grand total is £ 772. Ive spoken to these people endless times and im now at the point of k=not knowing whjat to do, they are making my life a living hell!! Everytime ive spoken to someone there they talk over me, not prepared to listen. I no longer live in the address they have and i know no bailiffs have been to the property as its my parents....how can i get rid of these people, ive always been prepared to pay £100 the original amount but they wont have it.0

First of all, they are not Bailiffs, they are debt collection agents, they have no right of entry or seizure, ask them to go away, if they refuse call the police say you are being harrassed and intimidated by them, if they try to force entry you are allowed to protect your propery and self within reason, possbily take the opportunity to wash the front step with a hose or large buckets of water, warn them first.
Go to the CAB and see them and discuss the situation, if you can pay them the original debt and one months interest do it, record all phone calls with them if possible.
The DC agents work on commission, if they visit "all the addresses" as long as the person that opens the door says they have no knowledge of you or any other addresses they should go away, if they don't call the police, they will only keep calling or hanging around if they get a sniff they can get you to speak to.
Change your mobile number, if you are on PAYG easy, get a new sim, if you are on contract call the providor and get a new number, iof you phone TF from your mobile or any phone put 141 in front to block your number to avoid capture.
Finally please learn the lesson, try to avoid these bottom feeders at all cost, you cannot escape the fact that you borrowed the money and they do want it back, they don't do "fair" and "reasonable" so don't expect it, you do need to get it sorted as your credit record is trashed for at least 6 years now.every time I manage to get one more breath into this body, I will sing a song of thanks to you my brothers, my sisters, my friends, may your sleep be peaceful, and angels sing sweetly in your ears.0
