Best iPhone deals for shorter contract terms

Hello,
I am currently looking for a good iPhone contract. I have been offered an upgrade through O2 which gives me an 8GB 3GS for free and the contract is 18 months for £37 (300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB) or 24 months for £32. Having had a look at other networks this seems to be a fair deal. I'm not too bothered about getting an iPhone 4 although will look at this if the deals work out the same, my issue is that I have been on SIM only for a while and I am weary about committing to a 24 month contract. Does anyone know of anyone offering good 12 or 18 month contracts or any other way of getting a reasonable iPhone without committing for 24 months?
Many thanks
