Flying out to Valencia June 2nd, July 7th & August 23rd with Ryanair, I have tried outwitting R/A & have so far come up with my own little plans by vacum bagging clothes, wearing combo trousers with lots of pockets, taking a fold-up shopping bag & emptying all my bits into it when I get on the plane. I find that the main problem is having to carry travel documents, purse, 2 pairs of glasses, UK & Spanish house keys that have to be to hand! and always worry that something will drop out of pockets.

Its not just flying out but coming back from Valencia is also a problem as Ryanair now have a main hub there, every item of hand luggage is checked on size at the departure gate and many Euro's are made!!

Last week on our return flight I managed to cram my coat pockets with 2 pairs of summer sandals, a book, my foldup shopping bag plus all travel documemts etc, I looked like a Tellietubbie LOL.


Two of us travelling so far but might well be 4 of us plus a 6month old

On 28th May I am taking 2 Duvet sets,cushion covers, some small pictures, 4 metres of Voile, 3 books and a small laptop (plus all the gubbins) in my hand luggage. Pockets will be full of the usual travelling docs etc plus some sarnies as its a early flight, oh & of course my faithfull little shopping bag.

It certainly would be a challenge to see how much more I could get into a flying jacket, do they do a white scarf to go with it LOL
