email your conveyancer at 10pm and see if they reply

Options
how many people on here would get a reply. then try it at 1.30pm, then 6pm. bet some of you get no reply to the first until the next day, a delayed reply to the second and none also to the 6pm until next day.

some of you smart MSE posters will get all three and some none - amazing how the cheapo conveyancers refuse all emails, I'd tear my hair out
My posts are just my opinions and are not offered as legal advice - though I consider them darn fine opinions none the less.:cool2:

My bad spelling...well I rush type these opinions on my own time, so sorry, but they are free.:o

    Why would you not?

That's the joy of email, you can send it when you like and the recipient can read it at their convenience.

Do you go to the postbox only during office hours?

    I don't get this thread

Of course you won't get a response till the next day. You would be sending it to their work email not their personal email. They won't be sitting in the office at 10:30pm (or even 6pm) regardless if they are a cheapo conveyancer or an expensive solicitor. People have the have a private life too.

I'm a lecturer and I get e-mails from students in the middle of the night all the time.
I sometimes read them, then select "mark as unread" and deal with them in the morning. You know, that time of the day when I'm paid to work. Sometimes, if I'm very tired, I might forget to click "mark as unread" and horror of horrors I might then forget to answer until I clear my inbox - which could be up to 48 hours. I must be a terrible person.

If your conveyancer is reading/replying to your (pointless?) emails, he can't be doing any work related to your house purchase/sale....

Of course, if your conveyancing has been outsourced to the other side of the world, you might find that there is someone in the office at 10pm at night. Of course, that would mean they wouldn't be available during the day here in the UK. Would you see that as an advantage?
