But it was OK to kill the original one?0

What gunsandbanjos said.
I don't and wouldn't ever wear fur, but if someone else wants to, surely it's better to recycle an existing coat then kill an animal to make a new one.
It wouldn't put me off buying from you, but if you are concerned about the impact on your ebay business maybe find an alternative outlet to sell it on from. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I definately think there're more people wearing real fur these days. Only thing is you may be better selling it in the Autumn.0

Well I have lost around 10 fans since the person commented on it, so It looks like most people are anti-fur....0

I think it's a bit hypocritical to say you can never wear fur not matter what.
Excluding those people who don't wear leather shoes, don't eat meat etc (whom I respect for their integrity), the rest of us are being hypocritical if we say one can never wear fur.
There is a difference between killing (wild or captive) animals for the sole purpose of taking their fur, and making full use of animals that are killed to be eaten.
Anyone who likes the taste of meat but finds wearing fur from an animal that was killed to be eaten disturbing, is a hypocrite.0 -
It's still a dead animal round your shoulders, whether it was killed 30 years ago or last year.0

Irrelevant argument. It's happened. Can't change that.
As I said, if someone wants a fur, they will get one. So the realistic question is would you rather them have an old one, or encourage the new-coat market. Pick your battles. One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -

Never said that, did I?
A lot of these coats were manufactured before much was thought about animal welfare and while not right as i've said i have no problem with these being sold on. Hence the 'i have no problem with vintage fur being sold', please dont try and twist my words to suit your agenda, its boring and tedious. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Well, it depends if the rabbit fur is a by product of the meat industry in the same way as leather is, or if it was killed specifically for the fur and the meat is a by product of the fur trade. I don't eat rabbit, so I won't wear it's skin.0 -

Except that there is very little fur in our society that comes from an
animal that was killed to be eaten. If you live in the arctic, that could be an argument. Buying a fur coat from the bullring, I'm fairly sure the fur is from a fur farm and food doesn't come into it.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
