Hi guys
I have at the moment a vintage Rabbit fur coat which is for sale in my ebay shop. A member of my Facebook group has left a comment on my facebook page about this being for sale
I never even thought that my regular customers may be put off buying from me with this for sale
What do you think....should I remove the listing or just leave it cause business is business???
Thank you
Kelly x

I have no problem with vintage fur.

Same here. You cannot please everyone all of the time.0

Vintage or not, fur is fur! Do you think it's OK to wear fur or not? If yes, continue listing the coat on Ebay but be prepared for the fact undercover protestors might bid and potentially wreck your account . If you don't think it's OK to wear fur then consider whether it is morally OK to profit from it.
Personally, and I'm sure I'm not alone here, I would (and do) consciously boycott any organisation, be it a multinational or an individual, if they sold/profitted from fur.0 -
Think of it this way, if someone wants one and buys it second hand, that takes away one person from buying a new one which will in fact DECREASE the amount of rabbits being skinned etc. So you are doing the anti-fur brigade a favourOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

You're not alone, I am the same. I used to stand outside fur shops every Saturday when I was younger handing out leaflets.0 -
gunsandbanjos, I might sound a bit thick here but try as I might, I just can't think of any way in which vintage fur differs from non-vintage fur? Please elaborate....0

No, you would be normalising the wearing of fur and encouraging more people to buy it.0 -
Thank you for your replies, some very different views on this and I dont want to upset anyone so I am taking it out of my shop.0

I dont condone the manufacturing of new fur coats. However reselling a vintage fur i.e. an old one i have no problem with as no new animals have been killed in the process. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
You ain't gonna stop people buying furs, so you could limit the amount of new furs by selling old ones. Makes perfect sense.
For the record, I am neither pro nor anti. But this coat has been made and nothing will change that. So I'd rather someone buy that than a new one.One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0
