houseing benefit

hi
i have recently lost my job after beeing in the same job for 3 years, i moved into my flat about 14 months ago

i aplyed for housing benefit, and they are saying that because i am 24 i am not entilted to have benefit for a one bed flat but instead i will get it for a bedsit, even though i am still under contract

i was under the impretion that aslong as you have been liveing in the same place for longer then 6 months, then you would get your rent payed for ware you live not acording to my age

if anyone can help with this is will be much apretiated

They are correct I'm afraid, up to being 25 you get a shared rate, over 25 you get a one bed rate,
Not necessarily all your rent paid, there is a certain amount and it depends on the rent yu pay as to whether it covers it all or not.
yu have to make up the difference, doesnt matter how long you live there, it depends on your age.

Good luck in the job hunting.

No, for LHA/HB you are always awarded the room rate. For under 25 soon to be 35, you are awarded the shared room rate for your area, if you wish to have a 1 bedroomed flat then the extra has to be paid for yourself.

May I respectfully request that you try putting your posts through the spell checker, they are a bit difficult to understand in places.

Whilst the spelling is not great, the OP has presented the info pretty clearly - I can't see anything that is difficult to understand?
