Help with choosing internet connection

Sorry just have another silly question.
when I look at all the deals for broadband providers, it says that I get free phone calls also.
Basically, we have bt phoneline, tiscali broadband.
We do not want to change the bt landline, just our internet provider.
But from my reading, it appears that they will try and change your landline with it, or am I reading this incorrectly?
Can I just have the braodband part?0 -

Most providers will give you just the broadband part, but its really just safe to go with o2. How about you get the landlord to sign up for it so there's no worries about the 12month contract, and you simply pay for it for the 6 months you are there.
ps, call o2 to ask them all about it, but ultimately order it online so you get 3 months free0 -
I believe Plusnet do a rolling monthly contract.0

Best review site ever for internet/phone:

Also beware, Orange isn't unlimited, they have an FUP.
Most of the major providers suck.0 -
Thanks guys.
I thought most have a FUP? Was hoping that it won't be troublesome0 -

Only the **** providers do, it's like most people are living in another world, they're providers beyond the lines of corporations, you just need to look.
Use that site I posted in my previous comment.
Personally I am with Xilo who recently also started reselling TalkTalk Wholesalepackages (they unlocked my exchange). £30 including line rental gets me 75GB usage, reliable and fast without the issues that plague TalkTalk customers (poor support, performance & long contract) as Xilo provide support and back haul, 1 month contract (£47 cancellation within 12 months, otherwise £29, imposed by TalkTalk Wholesale).0 -
Thanks.
I have decided to go with Orange.
Does the previous broadband connection need to be terminated before I can get this?
Or can you have two at the same time whilst the other is being terminated?
Thanks0 -
Talk to Orange, they might want to sort out the termination of the previous connection themselves0

So you picked an ISP that is so poor they can't even make a top 50 list.
