Perfect House - but under mobile phone mast

never ever....radiation...
When i worked on ships we had a big massive circle of red painted round our communication pods and we were all warned about the effects of it...I remember making you sterile being mentioned (That was enough for me to give them a wide berth). It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
Thanks jimjames - that website is very useful. Our last house there wasn't one within 1km of us and currently (as we're in the middle of nowhere) there isn't one within 3km.
Hmm, all food for thought!

Marine radar is very different from a mobile phone tower. The exposure limits for workers near marine radars are about 10 milliwatts per square centimetre (mW/cm2), while the "worst-case" ground-level power densities near typical cellular towers are on the order of 1 µW/cm2 or less. That's one ten thousandth as much.
In addition, that red circle on the ship marking the danger area was probably a few metres from the radar transmitter? The OP is talking about a house 150 metres away from a mobile phone mast. I wouldn't worry, not at all.0 -
Not read this word for word but looks like this could be quite informative
Exposure from Base Stations0 -
The mast won't do you or your family any harm at that distance. There's probably more radiation leaking out of your microwave. The only thing to consider would be whether it's an eyesore, or whether it might put of future buyers when you come to sell the house.0

Well, if it's bothering you, logical or not I'd say don't buy.
I lost my loved one to a brain tumour and have read many of the studies. I've never found any real evidence of a link although I know many who are sceptical about phone use links. But we almost all use wifi and are in a constant stream of fog wherever we are.
But if it's bugging you, don't do it because it will spoil the house for you.
Good luck.0 -
Break it down for yourself into the two components:
1) Possible health risk - check with a professional that would be better qualified to answer this. It wouldn't bother me as people have mentioned there is probably more harm from a microwave. As a slight aside, do you smoke? If so ignore any possible health issue caused by the mast
2) Re-sale - how long to you plan to live there? Are you looking to make money on the property? Could you get a slight reduction in price due to these concerns?
Good luck with buying your house, let us all know what happens!0 -
Crikey I just checked that site and there are millions of them around our area, not that I have ever noticed them and they are in a super rich area too where houses are over £1000000. So clearly not a bother.0

I checked on that site too and it said there were too many to show.. LOL. So no, I wouldn't worry.0
